The Weights tab turns your weigh-ins into a picture of how each puppy is growing. You can see the whole litter on one chart, compare daily gains, and check which puppies are worth a closer look. The Overview tab adds a guide to typical milestones for the first eight weeks.
Steps
- Open the litter and tap the Weights tab.
- At the top you'll see the litter's latest Avg gain and Avg per puppy per day.
-
Scroll to Growth chart. Each line is a puppy, drawn in its collar colour, starting from its birth weight. The bottom of the chart shows Age (days).

The Growth chart on the Weights tab, one line per puppy - Switch between Weight and Gain per day at the top of the chart.
- Tap a puppy's name under the chart to highlight it. Long-press a name to hide or show that puppy.
- Under Each puppy, see every puppy's current weight, grams gained per day and how many times its birth weight it now is (for example ×2.1 birth weight).
- Under Every weigh-in, see a table of every weight recorded, by date.
Worth a look
If any puppy has a flag, a Worth a look section appears near the top of the Weights tab, for example:
- "Down 25 g since the last weigh-in — worth a closer look"
- "Still below birth weight"
- "Gaining slower than littermates this time"
A small dip is common in the first few days, and Breeders Aid takes that into account. These are prompts to support your judgement, not a diagnosis. Call your vet if you're worried.
Typical milestones
On the Overview tab, Typical milestones shows a general guide while the litter is young: eyes starting to open (around day 10), ears open and first worming (day 14), first wobbly steps (day 21), starting weaning (day 25), vet check and microchips (day 42) and ready for new homes (day 56). Every litter grows at its own pace.
Troubleshooting
- The Weights tab says "No weigh-ins yet". The chart appears after the first weigh-in. Tap Start weigh-in.
- The chart is too busy to read. Long-press puppies' names to hide them, or tap one name to highlight just that puppy.
- A puppy's line starts at zero days but I didn't weigh it then. That's its birth weight, which counts as the first point.
- Typical milestones has disappeared. It's shown for active litters up to 10 weeks old.
